Gordon Smith
Gordon has over 30 years of environmental consulting experience in Canada, the United States. Barbados, and Botswana, and over 8 years of experience as a public servant for the government of the province of Nova Scotia, Canada. Gordon began incorporating climate change considerations into his practice over 20 years ago and for the past decade, his work has focussed on climate change adaptation. Gordon’s range of experience from site design to provincial policy enables him to understand how decisions at a macro-scale can influence decisions on a site and vice versa. Gordon is particularly interested in multi-disciplinary, collaborative work and how the successful interaction of different professions and stakeholders can add value to projects by developing innovative solutions to wicked problems as well as creating opportunities on a variety of levels.
