Ilaisa Naca

Ilaisa Naca is currently a Hubert Humphrey research fellow at the University of California, Davis in the area of climate change, environment policy and natural resource management. At the same time, he is pursuing his PhD in Climate Change with the University of the South Pacific (USP), Fiji. He was a former climate change Project Technical Officer with the Pacific Community (SPC) GCCA+SUPA and prior to that was Regional Coordinator for USAID Climate Ready. Ilaisa has more than ten years of direct work experience in the areas of climate change, disaster risk management, monitoring and evaluation, food security, freshwater accessibility, rural development, education and numerous community engagements in the Pacific islands. During which, he worked with UNICEF, UNFAO, UN Women, Government and regional organization collaborating with multiple stakeholders across different sectors.
